The city also experiences more than 17 inches of rain during the wettest month of the year, which typically falls during the summer months. With its humid subtropical climate, Mobile routinely experiences heavy rains during the summer months due to frequent thunderstorms and tropical storms.
Despite its high rainfall, Mobile also experiences around 230 days of sunshine each year.
