Why did Aiden become a Wendigo?

Aiden became a Wendigo because of circumstances beyond his control. It all began when his family left the safety of their tribe to search for a new life in the nearby lands. During their journey, Aiden and his family encountered a tribe of wendigos.

Thinking that the creatures were harmless animals, Aiden’s father killed one for food. Little did he know that the wendigos were in fact warlocks cursed to take on the form of half-man, half-beast.

The act of killing the wendigo unleashed a vengeful fury and the warlocks, cursing the whole family, placed the same curse on Aiden and his father. As a result, Aiden and his father both slowly transformed into the creatures they had killed, slowly losing their humanity and gaining the appetite and appearance of a Wendigo.

Unfortunately, Aiden was cursed more harshly than his father and so was unable to control his new desires. He embraced his new identity as a wendigo and began to hunt, terrorizing the lands around his family’s old home.

Though Aiden did not choose to become a Wendigo, his actions have nonetheless had great consequences.
