Why did Drogon destroy the Iron Throne?

Drogon destroyed the Iron Throne because it was a symbol of oppression and injustice. As Daenerys said, the Iron Throne was “built with blades of conquered, sworn by swords of strangers and broken promises.

” She had vowed to break the wheel of rule by power and violence, symbolized by the Iron Throne, and destroy it. To that end, Drogon fulfilled her final wish and destroyed the Iron Throne, symbolizing an end to her rule and the beginning of a new era.

In destroying the Iron Throne, Drogon also symbolized the end of her oppressors and the beginning of a new era of justice, freedom, and harmony. By destroying the Iron Throne, Drogon represented the breaking of the cycle of rule by power and violence that had caused so much suffering and oppression in the Seven Kingdoms.

Why did Drogon take Daenerys?

Drogon took Daenerys away from the battle at King’s Landing to avoid her death or injury at the hands of her enemies. He was also likely protecting her from her own actions—she was prepared to use ‘Dracarys’ to scorch the city, and was considering doing so even after hearing the bells of surrender.

Drogon’s rescue of Daenerys shows his deep love and loyalty to her. He was her sole protector, the last Targaryen dragon, the one thing that still bound them together after so many losses. He was also the manifestation of her power: a reminder of her destiny, of what she was meant to be.

He was her guardian, her shield against her enemies, and her most faithful companion.

What happens to Drogon after Dany dies?

After Daenerys Targaryen’s death in the last episode of ‘Game of Thrones’, Drogon’s whereabouts remain unknown. He is last seen carrying Dany’s lifeless body away from the destroyed throne room of King’s Landing.

It is heavily implied that Drogon is heading east, to return to the lands of his birth or perhaps to find a place where he can mourn the death of his beloved queen.

Many fan theories have arisen in the aftermath of ‘Game of Thrones’, and one of the more popular theories suggests that Drogon may have flown to Valyria, the ancestral home of the Targaryens. This would make sense, as this is where Drogon was born and raised, and it is somewhere that Daenerys had a deep connection with.

Valyria was also the birthplace of the dragons, and so Drogon may have been drawn there by the bond he felt with his fellow dragons and the memories of his home.

Another possibility that has been suggested is that Drogon may have flown to one of the other regions of Essos, such as Essos’ easternmost continent of Ibben. It has been hinted that Drogon may have been travelling in this direction already, as he was seen flying east when leaving King’s Landing.

If this is the case, Drogon could be looking for refuge amongst the glaciers and mountains of Ibben, the same way that his fellow dragons had done in ages past.

Wherever Drogon ends up, one thing is certain: he is still alive and well. After all, dragons are amongst the longest-lived creatures in ‘Game of Thrones’, and they can live for centuries. So, even though Daenerys is gone, it is likely that Drogon will carry on living a long and healthy life, just as his ancestors had done years before.

Is The Night King A Stark or a Targaryen?

The Night King is neither a Stark or a Targaryen in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series or HBO’s television series, Game of Thrones. The Night King is a humanoid creature of ice and terror who is the leader of the White Walkers and is a central antagonist in both the books and TV series.

It is unknown who or what the Night King actually is, where he came from, or how he was created.

It is believed he is connected to Bran the Builder, the legendary founder of House Stark and the builder of The Wall. The Night King is also speculated to have some connection to the Children of the Forest, an ancient race of non-human creatures native to Westeros, because of the children’s supposed use of magic to create the first White Walker as a weapon against the First Men 8,000 years ago.

The Night King also may have some connection to the Targaryens as his physical appearance is similar to members of the House and his ability to raise the dead and warg into animals could be related to the Targaryen abilities to do the same.

Ultimately, the answer to the question of whether the Night King is a Stark of a Targaryen is unknown.

Why did Drogon burn the throne and not Jon?

Drogon burning the Iron Throne was symbolic. When Dany was about to take her own life and end her own reign due to her actions at King’s Landing, Drogon could sense her sadness and knew something was wrong.

Therefore, he destroyed the Iron Throne in order to turn it into dust, which symbolized the end of her reign, her broken dreams and her sorrow. By doing this, it was his way of protecting her and showing his loyalty to her.

At the same time, burning the throne instead of Jon prevents further division and bloodshed, considering people supported different sides. It acted almost like an act of mercy, as it allowed the citizens of Westeros to move on and live in peace.

Moreover, this is reminiscent of the Valyrian practice of dragons purifying bodies and places after death. It is a symbolic gesture of honoring the dead. In this case, the Iron Throne was destroyed to honor the death of Dany, who was both a hero and a villain, depending on who’s point of view you look from.

Did Drogon burn children?

No, Drogon did not burn any children. Drogon is a dragon character from George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series and its television adaption, Game of Thrones. In the story, Drogon is one of three dragons born in the Dothraki sea and raised by Daenerys Targaryen, who names him after her deceased husband, Khal Drogo.

Throughout the series, Drogon acts as Daenerys’s protector, companion, and steed as she attempts to reclaim the Iron Throne. In doing so, Drogon has clashed with and destroyed armies, stormed castles, and burned anyone who stands in the way of Daenerys’s claim to the throne.

He does all this without burning any children.

In the television series, Drogon is seen targeting an arena in Meereen filled with Sons of the Harpy and killing many of them, but is later seen eating a sheep and protecting children from their parents without harm.

That same season, during the fall of King’s Landing, Drogon comforts and protects a group of children by blocking the path of the approaching Lannister soldiers, stopping them from killing them.

Overall, Drogon is presented as a powerful and dangerous force in the story, but he unambiguously has no interest in harming children. Drogon has not been known to burn any children throughout the series.

Why did Daenerys son have scales?

When Daenerys Targaryen’s son, Rhaego, was still a fetus in her womb, he was given magical powers from his mother’s husband, Khal Drogo. During the “deployment of blood magic” as a means to save Drogo’s life, the maegi Mirri Maz Duur also inserted a spell that changed her unborn son before his birth.

This resulted in Rhaego being born with dragon-like attributes, including scales all over his body.

The scales were a sign of his transformation and his newfound powers, which were far beyond those of any ordinary human being. His eyes were also said to be deep, dark red like a dragon.

The physical manifestation of Rhaego’s powers, coupled with the fact that he survived the ordeal of birth, made him something of a legendary figure for the Dothraki people. He was worshipped as a god, and his mother was seen instead as his servant.

In the end, however, tragedy ensued and he did not survive past his first birthday. Clearly, his scales were a sign of that fateful transformation in the birthing room of Vaes Dothrak, which ultimately led to his untimely death.

Can Drogon have babies?

No, Drogon cannot have babies as he is just a fictional character from the highly popular HBO show, Game of Thrones. Drogon is a male dragon, hatched from an egg of his late mother, the dragon, Daenerys Targaryen.

He is the largest and strongest of her three dragons, and is said to be the reincarnation of his late mother, Daenerys. While Drogon could theoretically conceive offspring if he were to find a female dragon, it is highly unlikely that this would occur due to the scarcity of dragon life in the fictional world of Westeros.

As of now, the only other known dragons are Drogon’s siblings, Rhaegal and Viserion, and even those have not yet reached maturity. As such, Drogon is unable to reproduce and is unlikely to have any offspring in the future.

Why is Daenerys the only Targaryen immune to fire?

Daenerys Targaryen is the only known Targaryen to be immune to fire because of a miracle that happened just before her birth. Legend has it that her brother, Rhaegar, made a proclamation that the Lord of Light had granted his sister a gift that would ensure her safety in fire, and this prophesy was later fulfilled through a magical event in which Daenerys steps unharmed into Drogo’s funeral pyre and is reborn as the “Mother of Dragons.

” It is believed that the Targaryen bloodline is so strongly tied to Dragon magic that any child born to a Targaryen may be granted the same magical gifts.

Did Drogon know Jon kills dany?

It is unclear if Drogon knew Jon Snow killed Daenerys Targaryen. After Daenerys’ death, Drogon fiercely attacked Jon and had to be chased away by the Unsullied, indicating intense rage. Later, while destroying the Iron Throne, he allowed Jon to leave unharmed.

This could be interpreted as a sign that he realized Jon had acted out of loyalty to his Queen and chose to spare his life. Additionally, dragons are known to have a very deep emotional connection with their riders and an even deeper understanding of their intentions.

On the other hand, it can also be argued that Drogon was only focused on destroying the Iron Throne, which was a symbol of the dynasty that had wrongfully usurped the Targaryen’s rule, and not on avenging his beloved rider’s death.

Ultimately, the truth of whether or not Drogon knew Jon killed Daenerys remains a mystery.

Why can Jon touch the dragon?

Jon is able to touch the dragon due to his Targaryen heritage. The Targaryen family is known for being able to control dragons, something that most people are unable to do. This is why Jon can conveniently touch the dragon.

While he was raised as a Stark, Ned Stark’s wife, Lyanna, was Jon’s biological mother, which is why Jon is a Targaryen. This gives him the ability to touch the dragon without getting hurt. Additionally, many of the Targaryen family members have a close connection to their dragons, and Jon’s parents, Aegon and Rhaella, had a special bond with their dragons, Balerion and Vhagar.

This connection might have transferred to Jon and allowed him to have a connection with the dragon.

Can only Targaryens touch dragons?

It is believed that other people could learn to do the same, though it takes much dedication and skill.
