Why is Zenitsu so scared but strong?

Does Zenitsu ever overcome his fear?

As Zenitsu lay close to death and getting weaker, Muzan approaches and kills him with a single blow. Muzan takes a huge chunk of Zenitsu’s life force and becomes close to earning his immortality. Ultimately, Muzan is ultimately stopped by Tanjiro, Zenitsu’s friend, who uses his hidden power and defeats Muzan.

However, as a result of Muzan’s attack, Zenitsu is unable to be revived and is confirmed dead.

What is the 7th form of thunder Breathing called?
